You probably have not noticed that it is important to drink a lot, to prevent dehydration. That bottle of water is of course very good, but sometimes you also want something with taste. Soft drinks and juices are full of sugars and other additives. What does water do in your body. That is why we tried today to find something that gives you a taste of your water and that you can keep your fluid balance up to standard. This drink consists of water, mint, cucumber and lime. 5 Reasons why drinking water is good for your heart, brain and metabolism. So fresh!
I used these quantities for about 2 liters of water. I bought a lemonade tap at a shop, with a capacity of 3.2 liters. The tap is currently sold out in the web store, but I was able to buy it in the shop last Sunday.
- three limes
- 7 or 8 sprigs of mint- a piece of cucumber
- 2 liters of water
- lemonade tap or can
- ice cubes
- optional: honey
Rinse the limes and sprigs of mint under the tap. Squeeze out two limes and pour the juice into the jug in which you make the water. Before you squeeze them you can roll the limes over the counter. This way you get more juice from the lime.
Peel the cucumber and cut into slices. You put the cucumber and mint in the lime juice. You also cut the last lime into slices and you can add the rest to the rest,
just like the water. Do you want some sweets? Then you can pour a spoon of honey. Try to stir this well. Water for home.
Let the water taste for a moment; the longer you wait, the more the flavors in the water and the fresher your water. Unfortunately the can not fit in the fridge. That is why I put some ice cubes in the tap before I put it down, so that it is still nice and cool!
