TIP: Alkaline water and Maize acid

Excessive acid accumulation in our body is not good. One of the solutions to acidification is drinking alkaline water. But how does basic water work? Drink water from a water cooler from Prestige Water with the 7-stage filter system. Make your own tap water into alkaline drinking water. Water cooler with or without filtration.

This is what happens in the stomach:

The stomach keeps the pH around 4.3. When we drink alkaline water (water with a high pH), the pH of the water goes up; as a result, the pH of the stomach rises. This increase is determined by the amount and the pH of the water that we drink. When the pH of the stomach rises above 4.5, the stomach will produce more hydrochloric acid to lower the pH of the stomach to the normal 4.3.

How the stomach produces hydrochloric acid is not well known to doctors, with the exception of pathologists. The chemical formula of the production of hydrochloric acid is:

H2O + CO2 + NaCl = HCl + NaHCO3

This means that water, carbon dioxide and sodium chloride (common salt) are converted into hydrochloric acid and sodium bicarbonate. The hydrochloric acid lowers the pH of the stomach and the sodium bicarbonate enters the bloodstream. Eventually, the alkaline water ensures that the stomach sends the building blocks of our basic buffer into our blood.

The bicarbonates in the blood, which we lose as we get older, can therefore be replenished by drinking alkaline water to prevent acidification.

When can you drink alkaline water?

Since bicarbonates only enter the bloodstream when the stomach produces hydrochloric acid, it is important that we drink alkaline water with the highest possible pH value. Can you go to the toilet faster if you drink lukewarm water. Why do I have to pee so often. You drink alkaline water on an empty stomach because the stomach produces more hydrochloric acid, and more bicarbonates then enter the bloodstream.

Drinking alkaline water

Truth about drinking water. Another possibility is that alkaline water passes directly into the intestine, because there is no solid food in the stomach to be digested. In that case the alkaline water in the intestines will be absorbed directly into the bloodstream. When this happens, the acid buffer (carbonic acid, H2CO3) will react with the alkaline water to lower the pH of the blood. This is how the acid buffer actually changes into the basic buffer.
