Is lemon juice for breakfast advisable? Floor standing water dispenser.

Drinking half a lemon in warm water has various health benefits. Lemons are a type of fruit, and all fruits contain substances that are good for your health. But does it make a startling contribution to your health to drink this on your sober every morning? Calculate how much water you should drink.

What does lemon juice contain in nutritional values?

100 ml of lemon juice contains approximately 38.7 mg of vitamin C, 103 mg of potassium, 6 grams of calcium, 6 grams of magnesium and minuscule amounts of B vitamins that are almost negligible.

Vitamin C

All citrus fruits are very rich in vitamin C. A vitamin that improves our resistance and possibly keeps the doctor at a distance. Vitamin C is necessary for the normal functioning of the immune system and contributes to the formation of collagen and thus to healthy bones, blood vessels, skin and teeth. A lemon contains about 53 grams of vitamin C per 100 grams.

In Australia, the RDI (recommended daily amount) for vitamin C is currently at 60 mg per day; this is very little. There are all kinds of circumstances, such as smoking or an infection, in which a person needs more vitamin C. It is therefore advisable to eat as much fruit and vegetables as possible.

Digestion

For example, can lemons also contribute to better digestion? Lemons seem to contribute to better bile juice production and release to the gut. Bile juice ensures the digestion of, among other things, fat from the diet. As a result, fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamins K, E, A, D are better absorbed. As soon as you eat some fat, a signal is given to your liver and gallbladder to release bile for digestion.

Lemon juice is acidic and could also contribute to better digestion, just like the hydrochloric acid in the stomach. If you eat, your stomach makes juices itself, if you do not make enough, you can find out why. The question is whether this can be solved with lemon juice. Healthy filtered water from your floor standing water dispenser.

It may be that lemon can help to better absorb micro-food particles, but this has not been investigated to date.

It is plausible that lemon juice can slow and reduce gastric emptying while improving nutrient absorption, but at this time there is little evidence that lemon water aids in digestion.

Acid-base balance

While lemons are very acidic, they can contribute somewhat to a healthy acid-base balance. However, scientific studies show that this contribution is very small to almost negligible.

Antioxidant

Lemons can help purify your body a bit because it supports the function of the liver by, among other things, vitamin C. But what contributes better to a good liver detoxification are sulfur-rich nutrients such as ... all types of cabbage (broccoli, Chinese cabbage, white and green cabbage, kale, Brussels sprouts, etc.) or antioxidant-rich foods such as all colored fruit and vegetables. The more colorful you eat in color with fruit and vegetables, the more different antioxidants you consume. So eat a variety of blueberries, blackberries, black currants, raspberries, pumpkin, eggplant, red cabbage, beetroot and so on. The more variety the better.

Kidney stones

Due to its high citric acid content, lemons can help prevent the formation and decrease the growth of kidney stones. However, this effect has not been explicitly tested, unlike the effect of potassium citrate supplementation. Add more water from your floor standing water dispenser.

Disadvantages of lemon juice

Lemon juice also has a considerable disadvantage because as you know it is super acid. It is an attack on your tooth enamel, even if you dilute it strongly with water. Besides, it can also irritate the stomach and intestines in the long term.

I also wanted to try it myself, but I hardly noticed any health effects and my intestines became irritated after a few weeks. If you want to try it, it is advisable to use an organic lemon anyway and drink it with a straw for as little contact as possible with your teeth and then rinse your mouth thoroughly.
