Losing weight and drinking water

We all know that it is important to drink enough. Why should you drink water when you want to lose weight? We notice that many people find it very difficult to get enough fluid. They take it time and time again, but it always comes up with it. Does this also apply to you? We are happy to share some tips with you that can make you drink more.

How much should you drink?

The advice of the Australian Health Council for an average adult is to get at least 2 litres of fluid in a day. Children and drinking water. This amount includes water, coffee, tea and milk products. When the weather is warm, or when you move or exercise more than average, it is wise to drink more. For each hour that you move intensively, it is wise to drink 0.5 to 1 litre of extra fluid.

Why do you have to drink at least 2 litres?

6. Add flavours to your water

7. Put a large bottle of water in the refrigerator

Put a large bottle of 1.5 litres filled with water in the fridge and make an appointment with yourself that you must drink this whole bottle before the end of the day. When water is cold you often drink more automatically.
8. Get good tea or coffee flavours at home

Buying delicious flavours of tea or coffee can make you drink more. Or make fresh mint or ginger tea. Preferably in a pot, of course, so that you drink enough. You can also drink tea and coffee cold.
9. Drink at fixed times

Get used to drinking at fixed times. For example, always drink at least 1 glass of water when you are awake, drink a glass of water with every meal and make sure you drink at least one bottle of 0.5 litres while exercising.
10. Set a drink reminder

Download an app that helps remember to drink and/or keep track of what you have drunk. For example 'Hydro coach' or 'Drinking a memory for water. You can also set the alarm on your phone or schedule drinks in your digital calendar with notifications. It may seem like an exaggeration, but it really helps in the beginning!

Enough tips to drink more. Also, make sure that you do not drink too much. Drinking too much can be harmful. Make sure that you drink at least 2 litres and a maximum of 4 litres of fluid per day.
