5 Tips to drink more water

What was it warm last week. Very warm. Unusually Dutch, maybe a bit too warm .... How did you seek refreshment? Your skin and drinking water. A swimming pool, day at the beach, feet in a bucket of water? I told Senna that I even like the warmth in Italy, because it is not so oppressive or something. On hot days, but in general as well, it is important to drink enough water. How do I actually do that in the summer or every day? I share useful tips with you!

Once in a distant past I have followed a training as a food advisor and then I had all the evidence why it is very wise to drink enough water. Now ... I just get a headache if I do not, so I find it important to replenish my fluid. Especially when it was so hot the last few days, and I regularly had the sweat on my back during work, I had to get enough water from myself. How do I get through such a day? I'll tell you! Tap water vs filtered water.

5 x tips for drinking enough water

  •     I start my day with a large glass of water as standard. A large glass, I think that at least 300 ml fits. Having a full glass of water all the time. This glass is next to my bed and the first thing I do in the morning is sit up and empty a glass of water. Then I walk to the bathroom and refill the glass again. I often do not drink it completely empty, but I'm sure I'll come to half!
  •     At every meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) I drink a glass of water. Not as big as in the morning, and too much water during the meal also does not help with the digestion of your food. But I do drink water!
  •     I always have, but always, a carafe of water next to my computer. Just such an Ikea thing, but almost 1 liter of water goes into it. I drink this during the day. On hot days I even fill the can, but at least once it goes completely. Are you working at the office, buy a nice water bottle that you put on your desk!
  •     I am often away from home. And then you have nothing to do with such a nice can on your desk ... That's why I have several water bottles that I can put in my bag (the dopper is my favorite) and I always fill a bottle before I go on the road. It depends on how long the journey is, but usually it is empty. And then I fill up the bottle for the return journey, of course!
  •     Make water fun! Water, I hear from many people that they find it boring to drink. Now I happen to find water just really nice, but you can always make it more fun. I often put in some fruit, cucumber or mint. Then it gives just a little extra flavor and it is still as if you drink something else. I will soon share my 5 favorite fruit waters with you.

Even during holidays - and yes, that is almost! - I keep my own tips. At least a glass in the morning, a bottle along the way and with every meal I drink water. Because if I do not do that, I really get such a rotten headache .... Which I often attribute to hunger in the first instance, but that is just a shortage of fluid.
