What does drinking 2 litres of water each day with your body
The amount of water that a person must 'drink' per day ... remains a hot topic. How many liters of water should you drink? The more water the better, but also not too much, because that is not good for you either. These are the consequences of drinking too little water. Yes hello. What is the intention? Can someone please answer in black and white, please? Recently I read more and more articles about women whose skin changed visibly after drinking 2-3 litres of water a day. The ladies of Grazia were also talking about it. They also mentioned that their hands were less dry and their nails stronger. I decided to take the test to finally get an answer to the question: what does every day drink 2 litres of water with you? I made 'for' photos and installed the Water your body app on my phone. A horribly annoying app that shows a water sound every so often that you have to drink. Handy, but very embarrassing when you're talking to people and suddenly a miniature waterfall comes by. I drank at least 2 litres of water for three weeks. Apart from a few minor mistakes, I succeeded every time. I normally drink quite a lot (about 1.5 litres of water and tea), but I noticed that I had to consciously do my best to get the 2 litres. The first difference that really quickly became clear? You sit in the bathroom the whole day. That is why during my mini trip to Brussels I also did less well during the challenge. There was simply not always a toilet available! Healthy drinks instead of water.
2 litres of water per day, the result after 3 weeks
Honest? Lose weight by drinking water. Except that I constantly have to go to the bathroom, I notice little of it. I do not have the idea that my skin looks more beautiful, but I must mention that I am already blessed with fairly smooth skin (with regular eczema, then again). The lines under my eyes (which my doctor once affectionately called 'asthma head lines') did not get any darker on them either. My hands even felt pretty dry. But ... I feel that my nails are stronger than normal! I normally have very weak nails, which I have to cut short again (because they break and tear), but now they kept for three weeks!
And now?
I believe that a lot of water (and tea) drinking is good for you. I think I did not notice it very much, because I drank a lot of water. People who normally drink less (or do not drink water) will certainly benefit from it. Better skin, stronger nails and less headache? I think so. I also read that people experience many positive effects when drinking 3 litres of water. Maybe I notice it only with 3 litres of water? It might be good, but I'm making it. I notice that with 2 litres of water, I really do sit on my max. I have a 'full' feeling and sometimes hear myself sloshing half the day. That is not a nice feeling! (Certainly not when you exercise ...) I skip that 3 litres of water.
